Kitchen Flooring Ideas
Choosing the right type of floor for the kitchen is not always easy. Your decision to use tile flooring or another type depends partly on your budget and personal preference. Just carefully weigh the pros and cons of each because floor installation is an investment.
Laminate Kitchen Flooring
Tile flooring provides a similar type of elegance as would a hardwood floor. However, it will not absorb food and liquid or accumulate bacteria and other germs. Moreover, you can also clean it with water and floor soap without damaging it. Laminate is more economical than kitchen tile, and it is just as easy to clean with soap and water. Furthermore, you can also choose a material pattern that resembles natural wood. Furthermore, it is softer to walk on and does not feel cold to bare feet. If you do not have pets or children, and you do not use the kitchen often, you could use wood. However, you need to make sure you dry it quickly after cleaning it with a damp mop. If wood is the only material you prefer on a floor, you might also want to have it treated to protect it from spill damage.
Tile Kitchen Flooring
Tile flooring usually lasts longer than ones made of laminate. The wood also might require replacement sooner than tile if not treated because it might be more susceptible to scratches. Laminate does not chip or crack, but it can rip when dragging heavy appliances across it. The kitchen tile, however, holds heavy appliances well and no indentations are left behind after moving the stove, refrigerator, or table. Furthermore, this kind of material stays cool to the feet even in summer. If you want to make it less slippery, you just need to lay down a few rugs and immediately clean up all spills.

LVT floors such as COREtec and Invinvible H20 are other kitchen flooring ideas to consider. Not only are the 100% waterproof, but perfectly mimic to looks of real wood and stone. To learn more about each option click on the link below:
